Our Mission
We strive to improve lives in our community by providing help, hope, and healing through professional grief support services.
Our Vision
No one should grieve alone.
Our Beliefs
Lost & Found Grief Center works with those who are grieving to provide education and support as they face life without their deceased loved one. Our society often fails to identify, understand, and address the needs of those who are grieving. We believe that every person deserves the opportunity to grieve in a supportive, understanding, and non-judgmental environment.
Lost & Found Grief Center is guided by the following principles:
- Grief is a natural reaction to death for adults, as well as children.
- Within each individual is the natural capacity to heal oneself.
- The duration and intensity of grief are unique for each person.
- Caring and acceptance assist in the healing process.
Diversity Statement
Lost & Found Grief Center is a diverse, inclusive, and equitable organization, where all board members, staff, volunteers, and participants – whatever their gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation or identity, education, or disability – are valued and respected. We believe our mission of help, hope, and healing is amplified when we are inclusive of our entire community. Diversity and inclusion are important because they allow us to respect and value various viewpoints, heritages, and life experiences in the growth and evolution of our organization. We commit to seeking avenues of inclusion in members of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and participants, and we commit to broadening our own understanding of cultures, experiences, and faith traditions that might not be our own.
