What is the event?
Art is individual and unique, just like grief. Join us by sharing expressions of grief in art form at our Annual Chalk Contest. Not an artist? We’d still love to have you – there will be plenty of masterpieces to see!
When & Where?
Saturday, September 13
2 to 5 p.m.
Nixa’s Rotary Park
301 Nixa Park Road
What to expect?
This event is FREE and there is no pre-registration required. Sign up at the event. This contest is family friendly—all ages are welcome to participate. Chalk will be provided, but feel free to bring your own! There will be gift card prizes for winners in age group categories.
Join the Chalk Art Virtual Challenge!
Whether you plan to join us in person or not, we invite you to be part of our virtual Chalk Art Challenge!
Join in the challenge by creating chalk art wherever you live or frequent. Keep the challenge going by taking a photo or video, tagging Lost & Found Grief Center, and then nominating (tagging) a friend, group, or business on social media to #chalkforhope this fall.
Thank you, Lillie Dopp, for kicking off the challenge with a video about your Chalk Art honoring your great grandma, Lillie Meadows.
