
Each year, Lost & Found Grief Center hosts a community 5K, Memory Walk, and Remembrance Event to honor loved ones who have died.
Run & Remember 2026 will be held on Thursday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m., at Jordan Valley Park in Springfield, Mo.
Individuals and families may choose to register for either the 5K or the 1-Mile Memory Walk. This event is open to all ages. We also invite our community to come cheer on participants and stroll the memory garden for no charge!
Following the 5K and 1-Mile Walk, at approximately 7:30 p.m., we will gather for a Remembrace Program. This is a brief but memorable time together as a community.

Memory Walk

A portion of Run & Remember includes a 1-Mile Memory walk for people of all ages. This is a time for you to talk, walk, share, and remember your special person.
This portion of the race event is not timed and will not include a race bib number/timing chip. Everyone who registers will receive a t-shirt and a custom medal. Cost is $29 before May 1.
5K Walk/Run

Our 5K (3.1 miles) is a great option for families, teams, and people who want to race, be timed, or those looking to spend more time on the course.
Those registering for the 5K will receive a t-shirt, race medal, and a numbered/chipped race bib. Race results will be shared online with this registration. Awards will be presented following the 5K. Cost is $29 before May 1.
Memorial Sign

During Run & Remember, we have a Memorial Sign Garden. Signs are available for $55 each. This is a visual way to honor your person. Each 18″ x 24″ sign includes the name and photo of your person. Signs will be placed at Jordan Valley Park on the day of the event. You will also be able to take this sign home after the event.
When you register on the Run Sign up store, please be prepared to upload a photo and the full name you would like displayed on the sign (max characters 24).
ABOUT RUN & REMEMBER 2026
Lost & Found Grief Center’s Annual Run & Remember is open to all ages and individuals in our community. Many people who have participated in grief support groups at Lost and Found are part of this event. It also helps provide support for continued grief therapy here in the Ozarks.

Early Bird Registration ends April 30 at Midnight. You can register following this date; however, you may not receive a t-shirt or the size you requested.
You can register until the day of the event, but again, you may not receive a shirt.
The deadline for purchasing the Memorial Sign is May 5.
Snacks and water for race participants.
There will also be an ice cream truck with items available for purchase. A free treat is available to kids 12 and under.
The Memory Walk is a 1-Mile route; the 5K is 3.1 miles.
Individuals signing up for the Memory Walk will not receive a race bib number and will not be entered into race timing results.
Run & Remember 2026 will begin and end at Jordan Valley Park located at 635 E Trafficway St, Springfield, MO 65806. The race course will continue around downtown Springfield.
Packet Pickup will be Wednesday, May 20, at Lost & Found Grief Center: 1555 S. Glenstone from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and also beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22.

Some families or groups enjoy running as a Team. If you would like to participate in the 1-Mile Memory Walk or 5K Run/Walk as a Team, go to Run Sign Up and register for either one. Create or join a team during the registration process.
You can also find the Team tab on Run Sign Up and create the team first.
Teams with 10 or more people can receive a $5 off code for each team member. Anyone can set up a team. The discount will auto-apply once the tenth team member registers. All previously registered team members will get a $5 refund, and all future team members will receive a $5 discount.
The event will be held rain or shine unless the conditions are unsafe (heavy rains, flooding, lightning, high winds, etc.). We will monitor the weather to determine whether unsafe conditions exist and decide whether to modify or end the race. This could result in a delayed start time or canceling the race entirely. Should any changes occur, we will post the information on our website and our social media pages. There is NO rain date for the event.
