We had 17 beautiful, wonderful months with our
sweet, happy, and very loving little boy, Xander Elias. The very last thing we
expected was a terminal diagnosis - Leukemia. A nightmare of a week followed as
he was transferred to St. Jude's and we watched our son fade before our eyes
until his life ended abruptly in St. Jude's ICU.
Our hearts, our lives, our family will never be
the same again.
But our tragic loss does not define us as much
as the fact that we did have him, we did hold him, we did get to know his laugh,
his gibberish, his pout, his dry humor, his kisses, his cuddles, his heart full
of unconditional love.
He is forever imprinted into our hearts and will
always be a part of our family. We look forward to the day when we see him in
Heaven and for the rest of eternity be able to hold him, walk with him, and get
to know him even more.
